The Journey

Standing out in the rain, looking straight ahead at the path.
All there is to see is the darkness of the night.
The darkness that hides the eyes.
The darkness that hides the truth.

The showers of the rain rushed down the street, and across the dark night.
Its roaring sound secretly hides the fast pace of the heartbeat.
Thoughts pondered in the mind.
How will this path be like?
Will it be dangerous?

Though scare to take the first step of this journey, little hope starts to sparkle.
The rain no longer roars in fiery.
Instead, its drops are slow and tranquil.

Looking out to the dark sky, tiny stars start to twinkle in assurance.
Assurance that everything will be alright.
Assurance that the rain will stop and the path can be finish.

Walking down this journey no longer raises anxiety nor fear, but a sense of bravery.
The sense of mastering the skill to courageously put the fears behind, and look straight ahead.
The heart no longer races, but beats in a tune of melody and joy.

As the path comes to an end, the darkness of the night finally has surrender and the brightness of hope has taken control.
The rain no longer drizzles down the street.
Instead, the beautiful arch of the rainbow gloriously made this path worth the effort.
After all, after bearing a little rain, the rainbow will come out.
