Trapped

Where can you go if you can't turn left or right?
When you have to stand in that same place, unable to lean to the left or move to the right.
You feel that you're trapped in those walls, with no access of your own beyond your reach.
You feel attached to those walls, the walls you once called home.
The home that constructed who you are, but you suffocate being locked behind those doors.
No more inhaling the refreshing scent of vanilla, you breathe in the toxic smell of fuel.

Where can you go if you can't turn left or right?
When the place that once created your cheerful memories now fill your albums with heartaches and pain.
You feel necessary to stay trapped behind those walls, even though your heart crys in pain each night.
You feel sentimental to those walls, the walls that sheltered you through all the lonely nights.
The nights when no one stood by your side, but you shudder because of your own loneliness.

No longer seeing the bright sky that once made you smile, your world is now dark as the night for every hour.
